Yverk (イヴェルク, Iveruku?) was a character of The Promised Neverland, and an antagonist of the Cuvitidala Arc. He was a Duke as well as one of the heads of the Five Regent Families.
History[]
Yverk takes Julius to meet Him.
Yverk was born into demon nobility and at some point was appointed as one of the Five Regent Family heads. A thousand years ago, Leuvis brought Julius Ratri before the Duke with a proposal to end the war between humanity and demon kind. Yverk allowed Julius and audience with the then Demon King. The plan was to separate the worlds which the Demon King agreed to and had Yverk take the human to meet Him being who could make the peace possible.
Appearance[]
Yverk is a very tall humanoid demon who wore long black, baggy robes with long, loose sleeves and a necklace with various red jewels and golden rectangles on it. He has bluish-gray skin, yellow eyes and long white hair tied into pigtails. Yverk wore a unique demon mask consisting of four eyes holes - two vertically placed and two horizontally placed. However, his eyes only see through the vertically placed eye holes. There is nothing behind the horizontally placed eyes holes except pure blackness giving his mask a menacing appearance. His mask also contains two large horns coming out of the top which loop forward and then curve upwards and have various red jewels and golden rectangles tied to them similar to the ones on his necklace. Sometimes he can be seen wearing a red poncho with gray tassels over top his robes.
Personality[]
Being the head of his respective house, Yverk seems to be a powerful and strict man who constantly reprimanded Dozza on his manners and behavior. Yverk seems to hold a lot of respect to the queen, instantly kneeling for her when she entered the room where he was waiting for her.
Plot[]
Introduction Arc[]
Holding a Vida plant in his hands, Yverk commented on how the orphans in the Premium Farms would satisfy 
since they are special meals for to feast on as compared to the lower grade human meat he and the other demons consume. Yverk added how they should celebrate the harvest and pray for .[2]
Cuvitidala Arc[]
On November 2047, in the imperial capital, Yverk stood side by side with the four other representatives of the different houses. Yverk was consistently reprimanding Dozza's manners and kneeled onto the ground when queen Legravalima made her entrance.[3]
Imperial Capital Battle Arc[]
He was later killed by Geelan after the latter infiltrated the Royal Capital to get revenge.[4]

- Yverk's favorite food is human.[5]
- Yverk is the only member of the Five Regent Families who gets a speaking role in the anime.
- In the official art book, Yverk's "hair" is described as not actually hair, but rather "boneless, creepy finger-like tentacles".[6]
