Rossi (ロッシ一, Rosshi?) is a five-year-old orphan who formerly resided at Grace Field House Plant 3 as one of the many foster children of Isabella. Due to his age, Rossi is considered to be one of the house's "low-quality goods".[6] He was brought into the escape plan by Emma two months after the truth of the orphanage was revealed.
After successfully escaping Grace Field alongside fourteen other orphans, Rossi now seeks to find William Minerva, whom he and his team believe can grant them the liberty to live a safe and peaceful life away from the demons.
Appearance[]
Rossi is a thin young boy with fair skin and a pair of rather small, oval-shaped green eyes. In the manga, he is sometimes depicted without pupils. He has short, tidy bluish-white hair that is worn in a middle part. He wears the standard Grace Field uniform- a plain white long sleeved button-up shirt and white pants along with brown boots. His identification number, "50394", can be seen on the left side of his neck.
In 2047, Rossi stopped wearing the standard Grace Field uniform, instead adopting long black pants and an oversized long sleeved white shirt with the same brown boots he wore at Grace Field House. Now at the age of seven, Rossi has slightly longer hair, but still styles it the same as he used to. He also has developed a much more oval-shaped face.
History[]
Rossi was born at Grace Field on April 14, 2040 and sent to Plantation 3 a year later in 2041, growing up along with several other children under the parental care of Isabella. Rossi is brought into the escape plan alongside the other five year olds after Don and Gilda revealed the truth of the orphanage to them. They were scared, but determined to help out in any way they can. They managed to help prepare for the escape by gathering food, warm clothes and supplies and storing them in the old well until the night of the escape. Rossi successfully escaped the house along with the rest of his siblings who were over the age of five.
Personality[]
Rossi is described as a delicate and prudent boy.[2] Despite being slightly timid, shy, cautious and sensitive, he is energetic, curious, mischievous, and loves studying and playing tag and hide-and-seek with his siblings. Rossi is shown to be rather introverted and studious as he prefers to be alone and enjoys reading, studying and learning new things. He is also very intelligent, having the highest test score of all the five-years-olds at Plant 3. Rossi cares deeply about his siblings and tries to help them as much as he can. Despite being scared, he was determined to escape from Grace Field.
Rossi is also shown to be a resourceful and curious boy, as when he took refuge in Shelter B06-32, he began studying Morse code. By 2046, Rossi is described as always "by someone's side, ready to give them advice".[7] Despite his young age, he is intuitive and can work well under stress and danger.[8] He is also very caring and considerate, as he was the only one who went to hide with Lucas due to his disability when Andrew and his team attacked the shelter.

After being told about the truth, Rossi broke down in tears.[9] Rossi and his siblings escape from Grace Field House Plant 3 on January 15, 2046.[10]
Promised Forest Arc[]
After escaping Grace Field with his siblings, Rossi and the others started looking for location B06-32 with some help from Mujika and Sonju; in which later they found out it is a hidden shelter in the wasteland. Upon reaching Shelter B06-32 like the rest of the children, he took refuge in it for more than a year.[11]
