Paula (ポーラ, Pōra?) is a seventeen-year-old orphan from the Grand Valley orphanage. She was shipped out to Goldy Pond to become prey for the Poachers to hunt. She was a former member of the Goldy Pond Resistance, who is in charge of provisions in Goldy Pond. She is also one of the people in charge of food at Goldy Pond.[2]
History[]
Paula was born on December 9, 2028 and raised at Grand Valley orphanage, growing up alongside several other children. At some point, she was shipped out and sent to Goldy Pond to become prey for the Poachers to hunt. Paula was one of the first members of the Goldy Pond Resistance along with Oliver and Zack.
Appearance[]
Paula is a girl with light greenish-yellow eyes and long, black hair partially done up in a small bun and tan skin. She dresses in dark clothes - usually an open black top over a white button-up shirt with black pants and brown boots. She also wears a dark green camouflage bandanna that covers her mouth. Her Grand Valley identification number, "AXI 640-651", is tattooed across her upper chest.
Personality[]
Paula is loyal and caring like all the Goldy Pond kids. Although she's reserved and doesn't talk much, Paula is always ready to help and comfort her friends.
Plot[]

Goldy Pond Battle Arc[]
After Paula's squad successfully kill Nouma, Nous devours her and absorbs her being; this results in grave injuries to Paula and Sonya, while Sandy is horribly beaten.[3]
While Paula survived being impaled, she and Sandy remained unconscious for a while. After about a month and a half, she appears to have healed.[4]

Human World Arc[]
Paula in 2049.
Upon arriving in the Human World, Paula is seen to be visibly worried and shocked about Emma's disappearance. Paula, along with the other children, agrees to search for Emma so they can reunite with her again.[5] Over the next two years spent in the Human World, Paula began attending school. During spring 2049, she finally reunites with Emma again and cries tears of joy, even though she lost her memories.[6]

Paula is skilled in shooting Demons with her gun and an expert sniper.

Paula is very trusting, loyal, and caring towards the other resistance members. She appears to be particularly close to Gillian.
Lucas[]
Like the rest of the orphans, Paula respects Lucas as their leader and father figure. Along with Pepe and Nigel, she trusts Lucas despite being lied to.
Adam[]
Paula is shown to be very caring and trusting towards Adam when she brings food to the windmill and eats with him. Paula even removes her mask in front of Adam, showing how comfortable she is around him.
