Not to be confused with Norman (The Promised Neverland).

Norman (ノーマン, Nōman?) is one of the main characters from The Parodied Jokeland.

Appearance

Norman has a similar appearance to that of his manga counterpart. The only difference being how he is often seen with his eyes closed, which is a popular trope in anime and manga.

Personality

Norman is the perfect epitome of the classic Yandere, in this case, having a yandere-like crush on Emma, which he constantly shows throughout the story, even during times of distress. Norman's obsession with Emma is so fierce that he would immediately threaten anyone who dared to speak ill of her or even if one tries to engage in a normal conversation with her. Examples are like when Ray jokingly smacked Emma on her head, only to have Norman to smack him back violently.

Norman is also not as intelligent as compared to his counterpart.

Plot

Relationships

Emma

Norman is overly obsessed with his foster sister and close friend Emma since a young age[1], and would always try to declare his love for her in the most over the top and/or disturbing way possible, to the degree of getting called a psychopath by people like Emma and Isabella. Such examples include Norman using her shampoo to bathe,[2] stealing her shirts and bringing her mug and a strand of her hair with him when he was shipped out of Grace Field.[3] Norman would also threaten anyone who bully or make fun of her, most of the time being Ray.

Because of his obsessive love Norman has for Emma, Emma never reciprocate Norman's feelings, and frequently calls him a psychopath and a creep. After Norman was shipped out of Grace Field, Emma was continuously haunted with memories and hallucinations of Norman, and often get the feeling of how he is still around, freaking her out.

Ray

Norman and Ray are more distant as compared to their respective main series counterparts, though they are still frequently shown with each other alongside Emma over the coarse of the story. This is because of how the main series' Ray's aloof and introverted nature is a lot more exaggerated and make fun of, and thus Norman and the other orphans in Grace Field always leave him out of their social circle.

Norman and Ray's relationship is also a lot more neutral and sometimes comically strained compared to their counterparts. This mostly happens when the situation revolves around Emma. When Ray called Emma "insane" or when he comically smacked her on her head, Norman "avenged" his dear Emma by threatening and even attacking Ray. Ray on the other hand, acted as Norman's wingman, in the sense of supporting Norman's crush on Emma whenever Norman tries to flirt with her or confess his crush on her.
