Helena (ヘレナ, Herena) is one of the minor character of The Promised Neverland and a recurring character from the A Letter from Norman light novel.
Helena was an orphan one year older than Ray, Emma and Norman who formerly resided at Grace Field House Plant 3 as one of the many foster children of Isabella before she was shipped out.
History[]
Helena was born at Grace Field in 2033 and sent to Plantation 3 a year later in 2034, growing up along with several other children under the parental care of Isabella. Helena is described as "by far the best artist in the house".[2]
Appearance[]
Helena is a rather tall girl. She has a smiling face, big eyes and long blonde hair tied into a single braid in the back that she often wore wrapped around her head like a hairband. She wore the standard Grace Field uniform- a plain white long sleeved button-up shirt and a white skirt along with brown boots. Her identification number, "76094", is tattooed on the left side of her neck.
Personality[]
Helena was a quiet, thoughtful and often pensive child who preferred to be alone. Despite this, she is deeply attached to her siblings, and does not hesitate to play or joke with them. During her time at the house, she was considered the best artist out of all the children, and loved to draw and color princesses, animals and especially optical illusions. Her drawings were very detailed and contained lots of patterns and shadows. Isabella hung Helena's drawings on the wall near her bedroom.[2] Like all of her siblings, she enjoyed playing tag and hide-and-seek.

Relationships[]
Abby[]
Due to being the same age and having grown up together, Helena got along well with Abby and they appeared to be close friends.
Emma, Norman and Ray[]
Emma has a deep regard for Helena, as she is a part of her "family". Upon learning that all of their sibling that had been shipped out were dead, Emma and Norman cry and are grief stricken. Although, Ray had learned to mask his emotions over the years, he still deeply cared for his siblings and was sad whenever someone was shipped out. Ray described all of his siblings that had been shipped out as "good kids" who were "so kind and carefree."
Isabella[]
Helena did not know the real intentions of her caretaker and therefore it is assumed that she loved her very much, up until her death.
