Even if it’s impossible, I want to escape with everyone. Let’s figure it out! I don’t want all of us to die outside. But it isn’t an option to leave them behind. I want Conny to be the last. I’ll never let anyone end up like that again. If there’s no place for humans to live, then let’s make one outside. Let’s change the world.— Emma to Ray and Norman
Emma (エマ, Ema?) is the main protagonist of The Promised Neverland. Emma was an orphan who formerly resided at Grace Field House Plant 3 as one of the many foster children of Isabella. She escaped the house along with the rest of her siblings who were over the age of 5.
History[]
Emma was born on August 22, 2030. Under the parental care of Isabella and the happy times she spent with her fellow foster siblings, Emma had a happy childhood. Due to their close age and probably the fact that they are the top students academically, she was exceptionally close to Norman and Ray out of all the orphans in Grace Field.
Appearance[]
Emma has short wavy red hair and monolid eyes. Her identification number, "63194", can be seen on the left side of her neck. She wears the standard Grace Field uniform- a plain white long sleeved button-up shirt and a white skirt along with brown boots.
Personality[]
Like Ray and Norman, Emma consistently gets perfect scores on her daily exams. She is the life of the party and a quick learner. She is known for her ample optimism as well as her capable athleticism, but she can also be naive at times. Upon discovering the truth of the orphanage, Emma teams up with Norman and Ray to escape the house. She loves her family more than anything and her strong sense of selflessness insists that everyone escape together, even if most of their siblings are below 6 years old, an aim which Ray deems crazy and plain reckless. Caring and extroverted, Emma often proves herself to be one of the most reliable orphans and is often seen surrounded by friends.
