The children are forced to escape Shelter B06-32 as it is ambushed by Andrew and his team. Emma and the rest of the children flee to the Paradise Hideout. After they reunite with Norman, Emma and Ray set out on a journey to the Seven Walls to reforge the "Promise".
William Minerva and his team ambushed a factory farm and massacred all the demons within. Unable to rescue the factory orphans, Minerva burned down the farm instead. After some time, Minerva and his team returned back to their territory, as the former gave a speech to a group of freed orphans, who worship him. Meanwhile, Emma and the rest planned to visit the Jaw of the Lion.
Don and Gilda sets off to travel and search for Mujika, as asked by Norman. They are accompanied by Hayato and Ayshe. Meanwhile, a young adult Ray continues to wander in an unknown land, carrying a baby Emma in his arms.
As Norman and his companions continue marching their way into the royal capital, Don, Gilda, Hayato and Ayshe depart on their trip to find Mujika and Sonju. However, with Don and Gilda having their suspicions on what Norman's team and Ayshe may do to Mujika, they promise to protect Mujika and Sonju. However, their plan is overheard by Ayshe.
Julius Ratri comes to form the "Promise" with the Demon King, but with sacrifices and casualties. In present time, Emma makes her wish of every cattle children crossing over to the human world and never being chased clear, but at what price?
Hayato and Jin's group surrenders to Sonju's threats. Gilda tells Mujika about Norman's plans to commit genocide on the demons, and begs her for help. Meanwhile, Emma has returned from the Seven Walls where she successfully reforged the "Promise". Both Gilda's group and Emma's group decide to march to the Royal Capital.
Emma and the other hideout inhabitants make their way to stop Norman and his army from initiating his plan. Norman and his group arrive at the royal capital. Predicting that their fates are close and that their time is running out, they make their first move: detonating a bomb in the Royal Capital.
