Emma confronts Peter Ratri, wanting to talk things out rather than killing him. Emma urges Peter to pursue freedom and live on together, and therefore end 1,000 years of suffering.
Norman and Ray come behind Emma, pointing their guns at Peter. The latter begs for them not to shoot him. Peter steps closer to Emma, who is still pointing her gun at him. He almost snatches the gun away, but Emma is quick to bring her weapon down. She tells him that they do not intend to kill but only want to talk to him.
This revelation surprises Peter. Emma wants to make a deal. The children will not retaliate or attack the Ratri Clan in any way, and in return, the children wish for Peter to approve their freedom.
Peter thinks Emma is naive for believing that he will grant them their freedom. Even though Emma and the rest of the children find it challenging to forgive Peter for all their harm, they will not resolve the problem by killing him.
Ina flashback, it is revealed that the children did not kill any of the demons. The children understand that the demons were only eating people to live. Mom and the staff's only choice to survive was serving the children to the demons. And Julius Ratri did not want to see any more people die in war.
Emma implores Peter to work together to end the 1000 years of suffering. To finally live together.
