Monsters Without Shape (形のない怪物, Katachi no nai Kaibutsu?) is the one-hundred-twentieth chapter of The Promised Neverland manga.
Synopsis[]
Norman explains the demons' evolution and his plan to build a paradise.
Plot[]
Norman explains to the group that by eating different species, the demons evolve. They absorb the genes of whatever they eat, inheriting their form and their nature. As time went on, they kept on eating and evolved into many different forms.
When they started eating humans, they gained their humanoid shapes, advanced intellect, language, and culture. Not too long, humans became their most prized delicacy. They even surpassed the human's abilities and became their natural predator.
Every individual may be different, but all have the same draw backs: Their shapes cannot be maintained unless they keep eating more. If they stop eating humans, they will lose their intelligence, and every trait a human has. Lately, many demons have been eating low-class meat, meaning their humanoid shape and intelligence and slowly disappearing.
Norman's plan is destroy the plantations one by one until the demons revert to wild demons.
Lambda, is a experimental plantations made by the five noble families that joined forces with the Ratri clan. It's purpose is to try to produce what they need by any means necessary.
It is revealed that from this plantation and another one, children like Jin, Hayato, and Adam gained superhuman abilities.
Norman's plans to overthrow the demons and annihilate them and create the world they are in into paradise.
While everyone looks at him in awe, Emma just looks at him with horror.
