The Affiliation between William Minerva and Geelan was an alliance between Lord Geelan and Norman who was posing as William Minerva. It took place in Chapter 125.
Prelude[]
The contract[]
Norman (disguised as "William Minerva") meets with Lord Geelan in hopes of forming an alliance to destroy the Demon World which is the next part of his plan. 700 years ago Geelan was a noble who advised the royal family and nobility. However, the royal family and the other Five Regent Houses then betrayed and framed him for treason, and consequently purged Geelan and his clan. Ever since then Geelan has been seeking revenge. Per their alliance, "Minerva" offers Geelan his revenge by exterminating the Royal Family and the Five Regent Families which will allow Geelan to reclaim his post and "Minerva" will also make him the king. In return, "Minerva" wants Geelan free all of the current "cattle children" and allow them to self-govern. However, "Minerva" says he does not intend to take away their food source. Instead asking Geelan to simply release all of the current "cattle children", but letting the demons keep the farm facilities to raise new humans. "Minerva" also says Geelan can do whatever he want with the Ratri Clan whether that be eat them or cultivate them to breed new humans. Additionally, "Minerva" points out how the Ratri Clan's technology is advanced enough that they can create hundreds of new humans from a single strand of human hair and he offers to hand over all of the research data from Lambda to help them with that. Geelan agrees and they both sign a contract.[1][2]
Afterwards, Norman reveals to Zazie that the entire alliance was a lie and that Geelan and his clan are just pawns in his larger plan to exterminate the demons. Norman instead plans to cause a civil war in the Demon World by killing the royal family and Five Regent Families which will lead demon society to fall into chaos and eventually cause demons to destroy each other. However, Norman knew that humans would not have a chance at assassinating the royal family and nobility which is why he recruited Geelan to do it. Plus, by not sending humans to fight they will not have to worry about losing any of their own. Norman also knows that Geelan was lying too and has no intention of keeping his end of the deal either. Geelan also begins to suspect that "Minerva" was an imposter as the real William Minerva should have died years ago and plans to eat him immediately after completing his revenge.[3][4]
