I just watched a little of it the demons look pretty cool but I can see Ray's forehead
here is the link
OK so most of you must be aware of this theory but I just want to share my views on it cause why not.
"The promised Neverland " is a story depicting the lives of animals in captivity and their breeders who raise these animals to eventually slaughter them in the end. The reason behind why we empathize for the characters and the protagonists in the story is simple. They are humans just like us. It is quite natural to feel bad or happy for someone when they resemble you. In the real world we raise animals(the grace field orphans) in a farm(the orphanage) feed them, raise them and finally in the end send them to their demise(shipment). For the sake of our convenience humans allot the animals with specific numbers(shipment code on the necks) and the breeder (mom; in this context Isabella) raises them for slaughter. Now imagine someday these animals gain knowledge, adapt themselves and revolt against us humans. If any of you guys have read George Orwell's famous satire "Animal Farm", imagining this wouldn't be a much of a concern. That's it. This is TPN. The only difference being, that this time the one revolting are humans.
The world has always been like this. If you don't save yourself and become stronger you shall eventually perish. The stronger dwells upon the ruins of the weak. Survival of the fittest. And any smart individual who has goals and dreams would revolt against the ones who try to suppress them. The evidence is the history of humanity itself. Imagining mere animals carrying out such sophisticated plans and revolts seems impossible. That is what the demons in the TPN universe felt too.
This is just my take. Not meant to offend any other individual's believes.
What do you guys think?
As usual manga and s2 finale spoilers.
I personally liked the finale. Emma did not lose her memories, Isabella did not die etc. Though I do prefer that the creators should make a s3. The storyline can be about how they changed the demon world . The war between the demons and Mujika's coronation etc. I hope they can brink the goldy pond arc back and do some minute changes. In the s3 finale they can show adult ray telling these stories to two or three kids who happen to be Norman and Emma's children.( I AM A NOREMMA SHIPPER ).
Maybe in the future they can sow that Mujika is dead and the new promise made by Emma is broken. So they can again show a war between demons and humans. For Noremma shippers the creators can include the kids in the war. Maybe bring back the goldy pond arc too.
Maybe make the first part as s3 and second part as s4.Doing some minute alterations of course.
Also I think William Minerva anime version is what norman would have looked like if Manga version was animated. And people did u see phil and others. Isabella was playing guitar. Dude I want an OST of that.
The future had begun.
Their future, for which they had struggled and suffered, was right there. They finally had a new life in the human world.
Emma and her new father had gone to live in the same town as the children and teenagers. Now she attended school with them and the family had finally been reunited.
Yet something was still missing...
Occasionally the children wondered if it was time to talk to Emma about what they had spent together long ago. Norman feared that the "new" Emma would not react well if they told her about her past. She might have been frightened or not recognized herself in old Emma. According to Ray, however, Emma must have known their story: it was sad enough that she did not remember the moments, even the difficult ones, that she had spent with her family.
The obstacles overcome, the sibilings who had left the orphanage, Yuugo, Lucas, mother Isabella, sister Krone, Emma could not have forgotten them!
They were all memories to be cherished with pride in the heart... And if their friend couldn't remember them, they should have told her everything, all together.
Norman and Ray often discussed the situation, and one night they came to a compromise.
- We will talk to Emma - they said to the children. - We will tell her what we have been through together, a little at a time.
All the kids cheered. They too agreed: Emma surely needed to remember.
- What happens? - She asked smiling when Norman, Ray, Don and Gilda called her into Norman's room.
- Maybe you better sit down - Gilda advised.
- Oh, okay.
Emma sat down and looked at the four with a startled expression, waiting for someone to start talking.
- We decided to tell you about your past, - Ray said, looking the girl in her eyes.
- Only if you agree, of course! - Norman added quickly.
- Yes, of course I agree - smiled Emma. - I'm really curious to know everything!
Ray, Don, and Gilda exchanged worried glances as Norman continued to look at Emma.
- We don't want this to be... trauma to you. You had a very difficult childhood and life, and so did all of us. Are you still sure you want to know everything?
Emma seemed to think very deeply.
- Sure! - She exclaimed a few seconds later. - Um... Who begins to tell?
Noticing that no one was volunteering, Emma ran a finger through the air, pointing at all of her friends one at a time. She stopped and pointed at Don.
- You, Don! Come on, tell me.
The boy was reluctant, but he took a big sigh and sat down next to Emma.
- Our story begins in a fa... in the Grace Field orphanage. We were so many happy children and our mother took care of us... - Don's voice broke as he remembered the woman he had loved so much. - ...Mama Isabella. She was tall and had dark hair...
Ray handed him a folded note. - This is a portrait of her by Yvette, - he said in a trembling voice. Don in turn passed it to Emma, who stared intently at the portrait for a few seconds. The four kids almost hoped she would recognize Mama Isabella, but she didn't. - She is... she is very beautiful. However, so far, it doesn't seem to me that the past you're telling me about is that hard, Don.
- Grace Field, - he sighed, exchanging knowing glances with the others, - was a farm.
- A farm? Did we live with animals? I don't understand...
- We were the "animals"! We were the cattle, the merchandise, we were food! - Ray intervened abruptly, immediately regretting it.
Emma winced in fear. - We... were... the goods? We were food?
She met Norman's and Gilda's. They nodded. - Yes, that's right, Emma, -Norman said.
- Every two months a kid was shipped... to become food for beings we called demons - Gilda explained sadly.
- Emma... - Norman whispered as he approached. In the girl's eyes he recognized the same look she had had years ago, when she had seen Conny's shipment and learned the truth. Now, it was as if events had repeated themselves...
The four hugged Emma, who still had a blank, lifeless expression.
- Enough for today, I'd say - Ray said.
- Yeah, we've said too much already, - Don agreed.
- We should go buy an ice cream, don't you think? Norman asked.
- I agree, -Gilda smiled.
They started to take Emma out of the room, but she stopped them.
- I want to know! - She shouted.
- Tell me the rest... I need to know.
Emma's eyes were bright and red. - Please...!
I hope I haven't bored you guys! See you next time!
Love this anime (at least s1) so much, art, music, analysis videos etc. cant get enough. Its definitely in my top 10 anime of all time (again s1) and think its amazing when ppl express it like this in a fun creative way
*I'm not a manga reader yet but I was rewatching season 1 and a random thought occurred to me about the butterflies and flowers.
The kids are similar to butterflies as they are destined to the flowers. The flowers are their death, their hope is their wings. When hope is lost, the wings are gone.
The demons want the kids to essentially lose their wings so they won't fly high. Isabella had her wings broken by the loss of Leslie wich is just what the demons want. The kids are pinned by the flowers like an insect. The kids who are hopeful and/or are happy have butterflies near them. When the kids are about to be shipped it is night time when there is no butterflies just as there is no hope for their future.
Idk was that stupid I'm really tired rn, and this is what I have chosen to do.
Is this James Ratri (is the spelling correct?) the same guy who pre recorded the msg in that shelter?
You remember in that shelter there was a room which had names written on its walls with blood? Was that shelter previously an experiment chamber or something?
Also I hate that James Ratri guy
Post witnessing the horrifying effects of the mass destruction I believe Norman would change. God I feel bad for both demons and norman. Also I think that blind old guy was provided with mujika's blood.(if u guys know what i mean).
(Outside Grace Field, during Hao’s shipment.)
*Isabella and Hao are walking to the gate. Isabella hums a tune.)
Isabella: Well, we’re here.
Hao: Woahhhhhhhh! The gate is soooooo coooooll!
* The gate is closed.*
Isabella: They haven’t opened it yet..... well, we’ll be here awhile.
Hao: Who hasn’t opened it yet?
*Isabella does not reply.*
TWO HOURS LATER....
*The gate quickly opens, along with a tall and slim demon emerging from the doors.*
Demon: I apologize for the wait. But you’re here with the product, so it’s fine.
Isabella: Of course. No worries.
(Hao dies a very awkward death. It’s so awkward that the demons might even throw the flesh away. The thought of it is too crunch and awkward.)
*Spoilers for episode 7 of tpn S2*
Ok i think emma needs to change her view on demons. Yes i gt that Sonjo and Mujika are different but-. Sonjo said he wanted to eat humans. Mujika is fine. Demons ate her siblings her family and she wants them and humans to live in harmony-.
And if her and the grace field kids get caught there going to be eaten by demons-
(I haven't read the manga yet)
SPOILERS FOR ANIME TPN S2 EP 7 !!
First let me just say it I don't think Norman is dead.
Now back to the main topic ,I believe both parties are right in their own personal way. Emma, Ray and the other Grace field kids have never encountered a bad demon. Bad demon here does not include the demons who chased the kids while they were in the forest. The reason why I am not including them because the kids are mature enough to understand that just like humans eat and treat animals, demons eat and treat humans. In my opinion; barbaric , inhumane and selfish demons who even after possessing human intellect use innocent kids as guinea pigs are worthy of being called as "bad demons". Mujika, Sonju and the old blind guy were rather decent and nice to the kids . Now , post evaluating their background it is natural to comprehend that why the Emma and sibling squad has empathy towards the demons. On the other hand , Norman and the lambda farm kids have witnessed the horror of the "bad demons". They were treated as mere science experiments worth nothing more than a delicious meal. We can understand their situation because a humble child like Norman has reformed into a mastermind who is planning a genocide. Initially, I was scared of Barbara but now I sympathize for her.(others too!}.I also think that none of the new Norman squad has ever seen decent demons(such as that blind old guy).
Both of the parties even after sharing the same faith have very different backgrounds. I can't help but think who is actually right .None of them is completely wrong. You can't build a new empire without destroying the former one. A revolution requires people to get their hands dirty. However, spilling innocent blood is an atrocious act. People who are completely clueless about the rights and wrongs are supposed to be provided with proper guidance and a second chance. In such contradicting scenarios the concept of justice is highly subjective.
What do you guys think?
This is just my personal opinion, I don't despise any character in the series . Everyone is free to express their views .
(SPOILERS FOR THOSE WHO DIDN'T WATCH IT)
Barbara really got hate for demons like when I say really I mean REALLY, I thought she's
Gonna be chill after all the drama or something- (I was acting as I have never read the manga during season 2)
Norman really changed- Like now he's all busy and stuff. Even I am feeling kind of weird rn but I know it's normal cuz MANGA.
Otherwise, I am impressed by this animation! Can't wait for more lol. I love it.
Finally, it's really Norman with his new allies, again, with his new genocidal mind. Personally he reminds me of Julius Malema, a South African politician who is notorious for his song "Shoot The Boer". And his Lambda group reminds me of EFF, the anti-white party, similar to Norman's vision of a world without demon.
While Emma reminds me of Nelson Mandela because she wants demons and humans to live peacefully and coexist in the world, just like his thought of multiracial state.
I also laughed when Cislo, Vincent, and Barbara laughed at Emma after she said that Norman is full of smiles and used to be weak.
